Hoyo - Rio Seco

The Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de Rio Seco is an Armorosos vitola measuring at 140mm by a 56 ring gauge, making it the thickest cigar in regular production to come out of cuba. 

This cigar is a recent addition to the Le Hoyo series, announced in 2018 but not released until 2019. Hoyo De Monterrey uses the finest Seco and Ligero leaves in their blend for the Le Hoyo series, which are some of the most sought after in Cuba, being grown in San Juan Y Martinez in the Vuelta Abajo zone.  This Cigar is handmade. 

The De Rio Seco began with aromas that were sweet and herbaceous with a dash of pepper. The smoke was complex and was a light medium in body, offering plenty of herbaceous flavours of cedar and nut up front with cinnamon, nutmeg and hints of caramel coming in towards the second half.
